Revisiting Public Microfinance Institutions through Ibn Bayyah's Maqasidic Framework
Abstract
This study, entitled “Regional Regulation No. 8/2020 concerning the Bangkalan Public
Credit Bank from the Perspective of Maqasid Khas Al-Muamalah Abdullah Bin Bayyah,” aims to analyze the suitability and application of the Regional Regulation with
the principles of Maqasid Khas Al-Muamalah according to Abdullah bin Bayyah. This
study is important because there is still minimal research linking regional regulations with the principles of Islamic economic law that emphasize justice, transparency, and asset maintenance. The method used is qualitative with a normative juridical approach
through interviews, observations, and documentation at BPR Bangkalan. The results of
this study are expected to provide recommendations for improving regulations so that
they are in line with sharia values and support the local economy. This study also
contributes to the body of Islamic economic law, provides the community with an
understanding of sharia BPRs, and serves as a reference for further research.
