Policy Analysis on Eco-Halal Tourism in the Framework of Sustainable Development in Sumenep Regency
Abstract
Sumenep Regency is rich in natural resources, culture, traditional arts, culinary delights, and history, all of which offer significant potential for halal tourism. However, several challenges remain, including low public awareness of environmentally friendly halal tourism. Consequently, much of the research on halal tourism currently focuses solely on the concept of halal tourism and its potential. Consequently, there is still no clear picture of government policy on eco-halal tourism. Based on the aforementioned explanation, this study employed a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the existing literature by examining stakeholder perspectives on halal tourism and analyzing government policy on eco-halal tourism in Sumenep Regency.
