The Influence of Environmental Awareness and Conservation on The Sustainability of Eco-Halal Tourism in Pamekasan Regency
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of environmental awareness and conservation on the sustainability of eco-halal tourism in Pamekasan Regency. Using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis, data were collected from 80 respondents consisting of tourists, destination managers, and MSMEs involved in eco-halal tourism. Validity and reliability tests showed that all research instruments were valid and reliable. The classical assumptions— normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity—were all met, indicating that the regression model was feasible. The results showed that environmental awareness had a positive and significant effect on the sustainability of eco-halal tourism, while conservation, although positive, did not have a significant individual effect. However, environmental awareness and conservation simultaneously showed a significant effect on the sustainability of eco-halal tourism with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.536. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening community environmental awareness and integrated conservation initiatives to improve the long-term sustainability of eco-halal tourism in Pamekasan.
